in judicial process and related process, except the aforementioned, you couldn't have to hire a lawyer, that's optional.
if you are a foreigner, I guess you are, I recommend that you need a interpreter who understand the jargon of Taiwan laws.
If the interpreter have a lawyer license that is very better.
But the cases in mediation of the borough, the monetary of the damage are usually diminutive, the obligation is trivial. hiring a lawyer is not worthwhile.
